Through prayer and other Catholic traditions, Bede Polding College rejoices in hope, celebrates the Eucharist and cares for those most in need. We are, as our College motto states, ‘called to bring peace’.
All our students have a right to feel safe. We have a strong emphasis on student safety reflected in a ‘hands-off’ policy implemented across the College. We understand that part of being safe means providing an environment where positive relationships between all members of our community are an expectation. We know we cannot feel safe where relationships are based on power and fear.
All our students have a right to learn. We aim to achieve educational goals based on each student’s individual ability. We work systematically and strategically to improve students’ literacy skills. We know that involving students in their learning helps them to improve their performance. Providing high quality feedback and information about student performance also helps them to develop as learners.
We look forward to welcoming all our new students to share with them a truly Catholic education
Hawkesbury Independent School is a small co-educational school for children from Kindergarten to Year 6. It is situated at Kurrajong and offers a positive alternative for children and parents in the Hawkesbury area. Our school is based on a strong sense of community. We have developed a supportive and nurturing atmosphere where all children look out for each other and where parents are invited to be part of the life of the school. Active learning describes our school activities, both inside and outside the classroom. While the learning program is very structured and covers all the requirements of the New South Wales curriculum, the activities are stimulating, 'hands-on' and active.
As a small primary school, Hawkesbury Independent School encourages the development of strong caring relationships between children, teachers and parents. This is vital to ensure that school is an enjoyable and worthwhile experience for all involved.

St Matthew's Primary is a Catholic school nestled in the beautiful historic town of Windsor, a short walk from the scenic Hawkesbury River.
It is the oldest living Catholic school in Australia and its earliest written record is a letter from the Colonial Secretary dated 24 August 1833.
As a community, we at St Matthew’s Catholic Primary School have identified core values that speak of our collective essence and belief. These values are reflected in the following ways:
We support each other in our common journey in faith by acknowledging the need to share our stories, celebrating our experience and articulating our hopes and dreams.
We cultivate an authentic sense of belonging through rejoicing in our similarities, discovering the richness in our differences and extending a spirit of welcome to all.
We believe that our practices, policies and attitudes should enhance the dignity of each person.
We acknowledge the excellence being achieved in the present, while identifying and striving for personal and communal goals.
St Matthew's Primary has continued to provide a warm and secure educational environment, with a strong belief that happy and contented children learn best. Our students are encouraged to always model positive behaviour and to value the uniqueness of each person created in God's image.
